Had a massive problem with horse-flys in the woods. Read about the same thing and remembered that wood workers normally wear chequered shirts. So I did that the next day and those damn flys could not land on me any more. So that did work, too.

Don't know where this information comes from but zebra has stripes because when they are grazing in their herds it is harder for lions to pic out single individuals (weak or young) wich increases their chances of escaping to 75% instead of 50% because the lions cant chase an individual from the start they have to run in and wait till one breaks from the group.
